休暇で近々行くんですけど情報いろいろ見てたらなんか平均身長155cmとか？こりゃどうしたこって？自分190cm～193cmあたりなんですが、やっぱ目立ちまくっちゃいますかね？ 〔Going on vacation there soon and I've read that the average height is like 5'1" or something? Wtf? I'm between 6'3-6'4, am I really going to stick out that much?〕

おっしゃる通りでフィリピン人からすればあなたは高身長に該当しております。とはいえ180センチに達する者も結構おりますし、体格面でもNFLのラインバッカー級の者さえいたりもしますのでね。 〔Yes, you will be tall among Filipinos but many do grow over 6 feet tall and some are big enough to be linebackers in the NFL.〕
さすがにNBA選手級には遥かに及ばない者がほとんどですが、国内チームやその他の東南アジア諸国のチームで結構な活躍を見せております。 〔Most are too small to play in the NBA but they're good among their own teams and other southeast Asian teams.〕

いますよ。うちの旦那のひとりの親友さんが188cm。うちの地元はバスケ選手を3名輩出していて、そのうちの1名にあたる方です。3名揃って180cm超。まあいずれにしてもあなたに関して言えば、その身長、しかも外国人さんですから、やはり目立つでしょうね。というか仮に168cmだったとしてもジロジロ見られることには変わりないでしょう。外国人さんですから。まあ慣れてくだされば！W 〔Yes there is. But at your height & assuming you are a foreigner you will stick out. Even if you was 5' 6" people would stare at you because you are a foreigner so pls get used to that! LOL〕

ええしておりますよ。長身フィリピン人とも大勢出会えることでしょう。統計値じゃなく実体験を参考にしてはいただけないかと。こちら数ヶ月前にフィリピン僻地の村落へ行って参ったのですが、現地の学生さんの平均身長は175～180センチあたりでした。滞在全期を通して目撃するに至った最長身は198センチでフィリピン人さんでしたよ。 〔Yes, you will find a lot of tall filipinos. Don't base your perspective on statistics but base it on personal experience. I visited a small province village in the Philippines a few months ago and saw that the students were an average height between 5'9-5'11. The tallest that I've seen during my whole time there was a filipino guy about 6'6.〕

いやそりゃさすがにおかしい（笑）155センチがフィリピン人の平均身長、それはさすがにありえない。当方180センチメートル、そんな自分をそこまで高身長だと感じることはべつにない。あと性別をちゃんと指定してもらわないと。平均身長は当方の観察によれば、女性で160センチ、男性で170センチ。188センチとか195センチある人間も存じてます。というわけで別にあなただけではございませんよと。 〔LOL this is really funny, 5'1 is definitely not the average height of filipinos. I am 5 ft 11 inches and I don't feel that tall being here. Also, please be specific in gender. In MY observation, average height of female is 5'3 while for Male it is 5'7.I know some who stand around 6'2 to 6'5, so I think you wont be alone.〕
