ステロイド使用者は大抵がフットボール選手と陸上選手で、野球選手は違います。ステロイドおよび成長ホルモンは野球界では比較的新参。初出は80年代でした。フットボールならびに陸上競技における薬物使用の歴史は60年代あるいは50年代とも言われる時代にまで遡るものです。球界の件が現在話題になっているのはそれが衝撃的な事態だからです。なぜなら球界に使用者が存在するなどというのは誰も考えもしなかったことだからです。 〔Sterroid Users are Usually Football Players, and Track athletes, not Baseball Players. Sterroid and HGH use is relatively new to Baseball. It begins int he Mid 80s. Drug Use in Football and Track dates back to the 60s and sum say 50s. You hear about Baseball now, because its the realization that Baseball Players ARE and have been using thats shocking.. because for a long time, noone thought they did.〕

MLBは検査がNFLほど厳しくはないですからね。NBAについてはちょっと存じませんが。 〔The MLB doesn't test players as strictly as the NFL, I'm not sure about the NBA though.〕

質問者さんも回答者さんもスポーツ史をあまりご存じないようで。ステロイドとの関係は野球よりフットボールのほうが遥かに長いし規制の歴史も長い。バスケットボール選手は競技にあたって体格の良さを特には必要としない。 〔You and the other people answering apparently don't know a lot about sports. フットボールのラインマンは漏れなくステロイド使用者ですし総格なんぞ見た目上の勢いが全て。バスケについて言えば、「歴史」なんぞに誰も興味持たない。そもそもガタイの良さより軽快なスピードがポイントになる競技であって、ステロイドなど逆効果でしかない。 〔well in all the line men in football use steroids and people just watch mma for a rush and no one cares about the " history'. in basketball you are better off being light and speedy then big and bulky so steroids would be a disadvantage.〕

野球は他スポーツより技術重視の競技なのでございまして、それなりの技術を備えさえすれば二軍にくすぶることはない。そしてその技術の一部は筋力によって得られるという事実がある。 〔Because baseball is more of a skill sport than the other sports and if you have the skill to be consistent you won't find yourself in the Minors,and they get that skill partly from their strength.〕
