5月に婚約相手とその家族さんに会いにダバオへ行きましてですね。ショッピングモールに行く途中ジョリビーとマクドナルドに寄ったわけですわ。もう満員でしたわどちらも。そこでちょいと気になったわけですな。はてフィリピン人さんの間でどちらのほうが人気高いんでしょかと。 〔I was in Davao city last march, visiting my Fiance and her family. もうぜんぜんジョリビーのほうが人気です。ピン人の舌に合うメニュー。とにかくホットドッグにスパゲッティなんてメニューはマックじゃ無理な話ｗ。 〔Jolibee is more popular here in the Philippines by far. It's menu is geared more twrds the Pinoy palate and you won't find spagetti with hot dogs on the menu at MC D's lol.〕

マクドナルドってのはさ進出先の地元勢を駆逐してしまうもんなんだよな。マクドナルド不毛の町だとジョリビーもうまくいくわけだがね。マニラその他の主要都市以外だとジョリビーのほうがずっと繁盛しとるようだな。99年頃にマニラ行ったわけなんだがさ、えらい多かった気がしたなマクドナルドよ。しかもいたるところにあったような。ジョリビーなんぞより遥かに多かった。まああれだ。ジョリビーをひいきしたがるフィリピン人は多かろうがね。 〔I would say McDonalds dominates the market's where they are located.
