おっしゃる通りでシンガポールでガムを噛むのは禁止されています。ただですね、そこまで明確かつ厳格な決まり事ではないんですよ。 〔Chewing gums are actually prohibited in Singapore. However, the line isn't that clear and strict.〕

当方いろんな国に住んだ経験あるんですけど、どこもことごとくガムは合法。禁止されてるシンガポール人のことを笑っておられますよね。さてどうだ。まことに綺麗なシンガポールにあってはガムを踏んづけてしまうような事態はまずこれ起こり得ませんよね。 〔Come on, Singapore is so beautiful and we do not have sticky problems.
