全プロレス史上屈指の偉大なレスラーそれがグレート・ムタ。WCWを観ながら育ったガキの頃の記憶がよみがえってくる。スティングやリック・フレア相手の超一流の名試合の数々。日本の生んだ史上最高レベルの名レスラーとされている。個人的上位5傑は以下。 〔The Great Muta is one of the greatest wrestlers of all time I remember seeing his matches when I was a kid growing up watching WCW he had some great classic matches with Sting and Ric Flair he is regarded as being one of very best wrestlers from Japan of all time my personal top five is listed beneath.〕

ムタ対スティングなつかしいなー名試合でしたよね。nWoのも好きだったなぁ。。。ライガーも抜群でしたよね。90年代前半ごろにジャパン・スーパーショーって放送してましたよねーWCW。 〔yes i miss those classic matches of Muta vs Sting. i liked that he was in the nWo too... Liger was great too. remember WCW put on those Japan Supershows in the early 90's?〕

まあ議論の余地はあるんでしょうけど、さらに上をいってる日本のプロレスラーも結構いるのではないかと。象徴的な日本のプロレスラーというならたとえば小橋建太とか三沢光晴とか。たしかにムタのギミックはプロレス史上最高クラスのギミックでしょうけど、しかし敢えて断言しておきたい。プロレス能力だったら三沢と小橋に軍配ですよ。 〔You could argue that thought, I think there has been many better wrestlers in general from Japan like Kenta Kobashi and Mitsuharu Misawa are the more iconic Japanese wrestlers, I think Muta's gimmick is one of the best gimmicks ever invented but, in terms of wrestling, a bold statement to make, that Misawa and Kobashi are the better wrestlers than Muta〕

日米両国において最も偉大なプロレスラーとされている人だ。紛れもない傑物であろう。日本のプロレスに革命をもたらしてきた人なのである。ご存知かな。ムタスケール。試合のハードコア度合い凄惨度合いの計測尺度。この名前の由来となった人だ。ムーンサルトと毒霧の普及に一役買った人でもある。シャイニングウィザードとムタロックの開発者。また2008年東京スポーツプロレス大賞をはじめ4度にわたって年間プロレス大賞に名を連ねている。さらにしばしば言われることだが21年に及ぶプロレス歴。そんな芸当を可能にした人。タッグマッチからシングルマッチからハードコアマッチから5つ星バウトまで何でもござれ。そして今では全日本プロレスの社長さん。この人を模範としているプロレスラーは今日のインディーにも数多し。ということで、その通り、というのが当方の答えになるな。ほぼアメリカ育ちのプロレスラーではあるが、それでも日本の最も偉大な、いや少なくとも屈指の偉大なプロレスラー、それが武藤敬司という人なのである。 〔He is regarded as the greatest wrestler in general in both Japan and America. He help made the moonsault and the asian mist technique famous. He innovated the shinning wizard and muta lock. And on 4 occasion, been named wrestler of the year, including 2008 by Tokyo Sport Grand Prix. And that says a lot as he has been wrestling for about 21 years. This guy was able to do it all. Tag team, singles, hardcore match, 5 star wrerstling matches. A lot. And now, he is the current president All Japan Pro-wrestling. And to this day, in the indies, many wrestlers continue to emulate him. So in my opinion, yes. Keiji Mutoh is one, if not, the greatest wrestler to come from Japan, even though he spent most of his time growing up in America.〕
