部門を『宿題支援』(Homework Help)と『社会＆文化』(Society & Culture)へ定めたうえで2009年の6月18日と2013年の6月7日に放たれたこの質問は、各投稿者の定め置いた簡潔な題が全てを述する通り、いわゆる「ナード」(ネクラ/陰キャラ/地味キャラ/ダサキャラ)がイジメの被害者になってしまう理由について、教示ないしは考察を求めた。

自分は科学とスポーツ両方の愛好者、ということでナードには該当していませんが、気になる。いじめっ子がナードばかりを狙う理由とは一体？ 〔I am not a nerd, myself as I love both science, and sports but why do the bullies usually go after the nerds?〕

ナードが虐められる理由はコミュ能を持たない人が多いからです。オドオドしていて自信なさげな態度。ゆえに孤立状態になるか「ナード」同士のグループでつるむかしかなくなってしまう。腕力もないので虐める側にとっては絶好のターゲット。とはいえ彼らナードは未来のビル・ゲイツ、これをお忘れなきよう。 〔Nerds get bullied because they often have no social skills. They are awkward and lack self-confidence, which leads them to keep to themselves or in groups of other "nerds." They are usually easy targets for bullies because physical aggression is not one of their characteristics. However, keep in mind that nerds grow up to be Bill Gates.〕

立ち向かおうとしないからです。それで人から見下されてしまう。なにひとつできない人間みたいに思われてしまう。ナードいじめは他生徒からの嫉妬が原因で起こるケースも。頭脳明晰、知性ですね。そんな状況を気にせず自分を貫くかどうか（同時にイジメに立ち向かうかどうか）は自分次第。以上ご参考までに。（ﾟーﾟ） 〔Because they do not stand up for themselves.
