いやなんとなく気になっただけなんですけど。ちょっとだけシンガポールを旅行する予定で、犯罪に巻き込まれないように防犯としてここだけは絶対に近寄っちゃいけない地区っていうのを知っときたくて。ちなみに滞在先は東部で友達と2人。てことで押し入り強盗が頻繁に起こる地区とか東部にあったりしないのかなと。シンガポールで犯罪といえば押し入りとか空き巣だって聞いてますんで。 〔So was just wondering. シンガポールの治安はご心配に及ぶようなものではありません。注意を要しうる唯一の地区として歓楽街が挙げられますが、それでもやはり特には問題ありません。法を犯せば公衆の面前で缶詰状態にされてしまうのがシンガポールなのです。 〔Crime isn't something that you worry about in Singapore. The only area you might want to avoid is Red Light but even that there isn't an issue. In Singapore if you break the law you can be canned in public.〕

ゲイランあたりは夜間は避けておくこと。あそこは歓楽街なので。あと外国人労働者が大勢集まる場所もね。他所の法律なんかに従いたくないという人がいるかもしれないことを踏まえ。 〔Avoid Geylang areas at night as it is the red light area. Also places where there are huge gathering of foreign workers in case they do not want to follow local laws.〕

シンガポールは世界屈指の治安の良さを誇る国。どんな時間帯に市街を歩き回っても普通は安全です。ただ低犯罪といえども軽犯罪は存在しますのでね。ゲイランあたりは要注意。いわゆる歓楽街ですね。とはいえ私も夜間を含む様々な時間帯に歩き回ってこれまで問題に直面したことは一切ありませんけどね。場当たり的な犯罪がほとんどなので、高価なものを見えるところに身に着けたりしないこと、これが防犯対策になりますね。いずれにしても全く心配ご無用でしょう。犯罪行為にとても厳しく重罰をもって臨むのがシンガポール（空き缶ポイ捨てだけで最高1000ドルの罰金刑です）。 〔Singapore is one of the safest places on Earth. For the most part you would be safe walking around the entire city alone, at any time of day. However little crime doesn't mean low crime. Be wary when around Geylang road, the red light district, however I have walked down this area at all times of the day or night and encountered no problems. Most crimes are opportunistic so obviously don't flash anything valuable. In my opinion you should be absolutely fine as Singapore takes crimes very seriously with harsh punishments for offenders (littering can impose up to a $1000 fine).〕

シンガポールは犯罪発生率の低さで有名。真夜中の一人歩きでも現状ぜんぜん大丈夫ですね。でも注意しておくに越したことはありません。まあ誰かと一緒ってことなら問題なしでしょうけどね。何か起こったら 至 急 警察に通報なさいますよう。 〔Singapore is known for its low crime rate. I can walk alone in the middle of the night and so far so good. However, do be careful wherever you go, normally if you're with someone, you should be okay. If something were to happen, lodge a police report ASAP.〕
