もうすぐ16になるんですけど親にボルボの購入をすすめられます。安全性と信頼性が抜群だからだと。そこで気になる部分なんですけど、いわゆる「金持ち」の車に該当しますか？ある程度のお金持ちじゃないと持てない車なのかなってことです。既に金持ちのバカ娘って評判が定着しちゃってる私なので、高級車持ちのお高くとまった女みたいに思われるの嫌なんですよね。 〔im turing 16 and my parents want to get me a volvo bc they are very safe and reliable. 17のときにボルボを通学用に購入した者です。いやいや別にお金持ちの車というわけではないと思いますよ。安全性と信頼性は確かに抜群ですし、娘の通学用にボルボを買い与えたという人が私の親友にもいたりして。ただそれは240ワゴン、極めて古めなヒッピー車。わりと新型のものをお求めとあらば、240、740、940をどうぞ。費用もそこまで掛かりはしません。ターボの搭載は避けましょう。しょっちゅう漏れ出しますので修理費用が嵩みます。逆にお高く見られたいのなら850、S90、S70、S40、S60、S80、V70、XC70、XC90。 〔When I was 17 I bought a Volvo to drive to school. So , no I dont think it is a rich persons car. It is a very safe and reliable vehicle , and honestly one of my best friends bought her daughter a Volvo to drive to school. it was 240 wagon - totally an old hippie car. so who is to say that you have to get one that is a newer style - go for the 240, 740, 940 styles. And you wont spend a lot for it. Stay away from the turbos in these cars - they aways leak and that means money for repairs. IF you want to go stuck up 850, S90, S70, S40, S60, S80, V70, XC70, XC90.〕

ボルボは決して「安価」ではないが、どちらかといえば「安全」にして「地味」な感じの車。「大雑把」にして「危険」な車の対極なるがゆえ、というのがご両親さんのお考えなのかも。C70でいかがか。 〔While not "cheap", Volvos more imply "safe" and "conservative". This might be the way your parents would think of you as opposed to "wild" and "dangerous" . Look at the Volvo C70.〕

いえちがうでしょう。お金持ち車というならたとえばポルシェ、ランボルギーニ、ロールスロイスなどが選択肢です。 〔no i wouldnt say it is but if you want a rich person's car you have choices like a porche, lamborghini, rolls royce and more〕

どちらのほうにお住まいで？ミシシッピとか？年式と型式もよろしいか。たとえば2009年式S-80のV-8四輪駆動でしたらなかなか高価な品になります。わりと素早く値下がりするものなので「中古品」を選べば大した出費にはなりません。金持ちではない私もいちオーナー。とはいえ維持費は相当高くつきます。加えて、盗まれることもまずありません。保険が非常に安く済むのはこうした理由からなのです。 〔Where are you...Mississippi? 安全性に優れた車を薦めてくださるご両親をお持ちとはなんと幸運な。さてお金持ちの車か否か。そもそもお金持ちの定義とは？車自体を全く持てないレベルの人もおられるし、456000マイル走行済みの1979年式ラビットがお金持ちさんの愛車になってるケースもあり得るわけなのでして。お金にとらわれずまた礼を失することもなきよう。 〔You are very lucky that your parents want you to drive a safe good car. ボルボは通常「金持ち」の乗る車ではございませんが、見事な車であることにも変わりはございません。ボルボを差し置きジオぐらいしか持たせてくれない経済レベルのご両親さんなので？いやまぁ、いずれにしたってリアルにお高くとまってらっしゃるのでもなければ心配ご無用でしょう。外観的にも相当よろしい感じになってきておる車ですしな。あなたにとってのベストを考えてくれるご両親さんの選択のほどに喝采を。 〔Volvos aren't "rich" peoples cars in general but they are great cars.
