バスケットボールが不動のダントツ1位。2位はボクシングですが、海外発だとビッグマッチであってもさほど報道対象にならないのが残念。国内ボクシングは常に健在でフィリピン人ボクサーの試合は漏れなく密着取材されるのですが。これらにビリヤードをあわせて3Bといいます。なおビリヤードについてはボクシングを超える人気とされることも。“バタ”ことエフレン・レイズとジャンゴ・ブスタマンテが独走しています。アメリカ、ヨーロッパ、中国の選手さんたち相手に名試合を展開。なかでも1999年のいつ頃だったかエフレンがカーディフで果たした勝利が最も印象的なものであったと思います。 〔Basketball is always the runaway #1.
