観戦スポーツとしても競技人口においてもバスケットボールとフットボール（サッカー）が双頭です。格闘技も普及しておりまして、一番人気はカポエイラ。レスリングも一定の受容はありますね。 〔Basketball and Football(soccer) are the two sports most frequently watched and played. Martial arts are also popular, the most popular of which is Capoeira. There is some wrestling.〕

議論の余地あるところですが、バスケットボールが1位、僅差でサッカーが2位、となりましょうか。サッカー好きの当方から見てもこうなりますね。なおイスラエルをスポーツ指向の国であるとおっしゃっておられる方がいらっしゃいますが、残念ながら現状そのような事実はございませんな。この国はスポーツを不可欠なものと認識してはおりませんでしょう。アバーブッシュやアリック・ゼエビなどのような世界レベルのスターにならない限りスポーツで身を立てるのは難しい国でしょう。 〔It is arguable, but I'd say Basketball first with soccer close second, even though I personally prefer soccer. Unfortunatelly, contrary to someone saying that Israel is very sport oriented country I would say that Israel at the moment does not promote sports as it should.
