初めて見たとき30歳ぐらいだと思ったんだけど。それまで全然知らない人だった。写真で見ると大体こんな感じ。 〔At first I thought she was 30 years old. I had not paid a lot of attention to this person. Usually I'll see a photo of her like this:〕

17歳の女子を手当たりしだいに観察してみればわかる。ロードと標準的な17歳との違いがわかるはず。まあ女子は成長速めだけどさ。たとえばジャスティン・ビーバーなんか16のときはまだまだ童顔のままだった。んで17のときでこんな感じ。 〔But if you look at most 17 year old girls, you can see a difference between Lorde and the average 17 year old. 17歳といえばもうすぐ大人。これはもちろんわかる。でも三十路はさすがにないわ！ロードの歳で老けて見えるとかダメじゃんだって20代でもう婆さんみたいになるんだろうし。 〔And yes 17 years old is close to being an adult but not a person in their 30s! But this is bad for Lorde to look older because she will look like an old lady when she reaches her mid 20s.〕

私も気になってました年齢関係。老け顔そのものですよね。やっぱりヨーロッパ的なものなのかなと。容姿はあんまり良いほうじゃないと思うし、お肌のケアとかしてなさそうだし、なんか色々、パッとしない。 〔Yes, I've always been aware of her age. She just looks older. I think it's just a European thing, I doubt she's been big on beauty and caring for her skin, etc. They're less vain.〕
