『How do I become a famous model!?』(ハウ・ドゥー・アイ・ビカム・ア・フェイマス・モデル！？)〔意：有名モデルてどうすりゃなれんの！？〕
は、なにより検索エンジンとして名高い「ヤフー」の送るサービスのひとつ『ヤフー！知恵袋』の本家版すなわち『ヤフー！アンサーズ』(Yahoo! Answers)に投稿された、“アシュリー”(Ashley)という名の利用者による質問である。

あんまこういうこと言いたくないんだけどさ、有名人になれるモデルとかほとんどいないよ。ごく少数のトップモデルたち（カーリー・クロス、シャネル・イマン、アリ・マイケル）ですらセレブリティの地位にはない。 〔Hate to tell you this, but most models do not become famous. There are a few top models (Karlie Kloss, Chanel Iman, Ali Michael) even they aren't celebrity status.〕
モデルになりたいなら170センチ（できれば175センチ）は必須になってくるし、34-24-34（バスト－ウエスト－ヒップ）みたいじゃないと。 〔If you want to become a model, you need to be 5'8 (preferably 5'9) and 34-24-34 (bust-waist-hips). Your weight means absolutely nothing. I've never seen a model being weighed.〕
近場のモデル公募に応募してみるって手もあるけど、どっちにしたって事務所まで足を運ばなきゃいけないことに変わりはないから。そこ念頭に置いとくこと。 〔You can attend open calls nearest you or send in models, but keep in mind if you send them in and get a callback, you'll have to provide to your own transportation to the agency headquarters.〕
ちなみに絶対やっちゃいけないことっていうのが3つばかりある。 ゼ ッ タ イ にだよ。一つがモデル養成学校、もう一つがモデル登録、そしてもう一つがミスコン。モデル養成学校ってのは時間とお金の無駄でしかない。モデルやるのに学校に通う必要なんてないわけよ。簡単な仕事だからとかそういうことじゃなくてね、モデル業はロケット工学とは違うんですよと、そういうこと。モデル事務所に嫌われるのよ。一から教え直さなきゃいけないもんだからさ。なんでかって、養成学校で学ぶことってもう何もかもが間違いなんだもん。モデル登録はお金の無駄。モデル事務所のほとんどは公募からモデルを採用してるし、写真の送付にも余計なお金を請求したりはしないもの。なのにお金払って登録するとかおかしいと思わない？ミスコンはモデル業とはまったくなんの関係もなし。 〔There are three things you should never, and I mean NEVER do; modeling school, modeling conventions and pageants. Modeling school is a waste of both time and money. You don't need to go to school to be a model. Not saying it's easy, but it ain't rocket science.
