まあですね、観光客の行き先というのは限られていると思いますけど、当方が推しておきたいものはあれですね。ル・グレヴァンという興味深い＆名高い蝋人形館がパリにあってですね。あとパリの見事なグルメの数々。これも要チェックですよ。 〔Well, I think most people have listed the obvious ones- but for me, there is a really interesting & famous wax museum in Paris called Le Grevin (with an accent aigu on the e). Also, check out some of Paris' fine dining.〕
リュー・ド・ラ・ファイエット（リュー＝通り）も要チェック。特にクリスマスの時期なんかもう電飾キラキラですから！ 〔You also might want to check out La Rue de La Fayette- (rue=street), because they have wonderful light displays, especially during Christmas time!〕

ブルターニュ（の特にカンペール）へ赴き、昔ながらのブレトンの町を訪れるのをおすすめしておきたい。海岸にあってそれはそれはもう美麗な町です。というかブルターニュならばどこでも素敵なひと時を送ることができるでしょうね。 〔My advice is to go out to Brittany (Quimper would be best) to visit a traditional Breton city. It's on the coast and it is such as beautiful city. But anywhere is Brittany would be a great time.〕
歴史愛好家さんでしたらノルマンディーが最適でしょう。第二次世界大戦の用地を、ジャンヌダルクが殺害されたルーアンを、モネの生家を、ジヴェルニーの庭園を、その他諸々を訪れてみましょう。 〔If you are a history person, Normandy is probably where you want to go. Visit the sites of World War II, go to Rouen, where Joan or Arc was killed, Monet's home and gardens at Giverney , and the list goes on.〕
ただ最高というならばそれはロワール渓谷でしょうね。トゥール（この地方屈指の大きな町で、ここだけでも訪れる価値絶大）に停泊されるのであれば、この地の華麗なる城と庭園の数々を訪れてみるのもよろしいかと。シャンボール、シュノンソー、アンボワーズなんかは実に優美。定期的に一般公開されているものもありますよ。 〔The best, though, would be to go out to the Loire Valley. If you base camp out of Tours (one of the larger cities in the region, which is a great place to visit in itself), you can go see some of the magnificent chateaux and in some cases their gardens. Some of them, like Chambord, Chenonceau, and Amboise, are beautiful and regularly open to the public.〕

ヴェルダン…これまで訪れてきたフランスの街でおそらく次元が違うレベルに最高峰… 〔Verdun, France...by far probably the best city i have ever visited in france...〕
その衝撃の歴史…両世界大戦の惨禍に見舞われ多くの名所が犠牲となった…激烈な記憶遺産。ちなみにあまり知られていないことだがローマ帝国の入り口となったこともあった… 〔the history alone would blow your mind...it was a city decimated by both world wars, so a lot of the attractions are geared towards that...very powerful memorials, and a little known fact that it was once the gateway to the roman empire...〕

もう11年前になりますけど、高校のときにあの国を団体で旅行したことがありました。定番のもの以外でいくと、日没直前のモンマルトルのサクレ・クールなんか美麗なものでしたよ。昇り階段がたくさんあってですね。頂上まで辿り着いたときには既に大勢の人がいて階段に腰掛けて日の入りの時を待ってて。そうして日が没してゆくと街に明かりが灯ってゆくのを見ることができて。自分もとっても綺麗になれて。あとムーラン・ルージュもよろしいでしょうね。。。歩いて行ける範囲内。香水・石鹸工房を見て回ったり、ニースの波打ち際で上半身丸裸になって泳ぐなどしたものでした。 〔I was there about 11 years ago with a high school group. Aside from the obvious attractions, the Sacré Coeur on Montmartre was beautiful if you got there just before the sun set. There are many stairs to walk up. Once we got to the top there were many people already there, sitting on the steps waiting for the sun to set. As the sun sets you can watch all the lights in the city below all turn on. I can be quite pretty. Also, the Mulan Rouge is over that way too...within walking distance. We also got to take a tour of a perfume/soap factory and swam topless at the beach in Nice.〕

そして南部に行くなら絶対絶対外せないのがモンテカルロ…もう見事。とにかくとにかく壮麗にして圧巻。 〔Then head to south definately, and never ever miss Monte Carlo... its amazing, very very awsome and simply marvellous.〕
マルセイユもよし。ニースのビーチもまことによろしい。 〔Marsielle is also nice, and the beach in Nice is really good.〕

パリ北部ならクロード・モネの自宅と庭園、トルビルとオンフルールの海辺の村落。また北部は若きアメリカ人たちがフランス解放のために生を捧げて散ったノルマンディー上陸作戦ゆかりの場所でもあります。南部なら一風変わった村々と文句なしの気候。 〔To the north of Paris, you can enjoy the home and gardens of Claude Monet, and the seaside villages of Trouville and Honfleur. Also, to the north are the historical sites that remember D-Day and the young Americans who gave their lives for the liberty of France.
